In Italy

So we arrived in Italy on Thursday! I have done this trip about a 1,000x's & the flight here normally flies by. Though this time it felt like the forever trip. I guess since Enzo attempted to stay up most of the way here. He slept straight for only 7hrs out of the 15 it took us to get here, the other 8 was him either crying, being fed or being juggled between Jorge & I!
I could just imagine how uncomfortable he felt though times like this I wish I could have just clicked my heels and appeared in Italy.
To top it off we were stuck in line in customs for 1.5hrs to then find out that the airline misplaced our luggage for 2hrs & we had to wait an hour to get our rent a car. The 2hr drive from the airport to the house was the least of my worries this time, the drive use to be my nightmare.

Though once we finally arrived we both had the most weirdest feeling. It felt as if a weight was lifted off of our shoulders. It was a feeling of peace & serenity. I guess being in the country on a vineyard could do that to you.

Though I also had an emotional breakdown once we settled in. I walked around the back of the house where my grandfathers work room was. I spent so many Summers & Winter Breaks in there w/ him that as soon as I walked in w/ Enzo I felt his presence. I feel my grandparents presence all the time, though yesterday was just an over powering feeling. As crazy as it sounds, I found myself having a conversation w/ him. That's when Jorge walked in and thought I was a nutcase.

On Friday... I met Jorge's family here in Italy. They live 4hrs away from my families home. I think his family here in Italy & I are going to have a Bitter Sweet Relationship. Though his mother warned me. Thank God I came in wearing an armor suit.

Saturday was: Fun, Fun, Fun... It was my cousin Leo's Birthday, so they had a big Ole' Italian festa. It was so Yummi. I was pretty much Stuffed & Drunk off of wine for 2 days. I Love my family. They definitely love to party. They especially loved Jorge. My Italian family are major party people. If someone farts they throw a party. L-M-A-O

Then on Sunday My Work Mission Began: My crew arrivedand I had to drive 2hrs 2 Pisa to meet them w/ the bus to go to their hotel & to have a meeting of what expect on Monday. Other than that everyone ventured the remaing og the day.

Then yesterday I had to drive 2hrs back to the job site to meet the crew & get work started. Mind you, I left the house at 4:00am to be there by 6:00am to have breakfast w/ my crew & get the cookie crumbling.

What a mission, we had to unload containers and set up the job site. I don't know what upsetted me more: The fact that I ws filthy by the end of the day or that I broke 4 nails.

The sad part about it is that I was not able to see my son awake. By the time I left in the morning he was sleeping & by the time I made it back to the house at midnight he was sleeping again.

So this morning as evil as it sounds I woke him up to be able to play w/him for a little. Though I wont be doing that again especially since he has adapted to his new sleeping pattern. POOR THING!

Though it is currently 1 in the morning I have to be up in 3hrs & I am just waiting for him to wake up to be able to feed him & be able to spend some quality time w/ him.

I didn't think that this was going to be so hard on me though it is. I have spent the last 2 months w/ him every second of the day & not being able to see him for the last 2 days has been heart breaking. I am actually very jealous of Jorge because he is the one spending quality time w/ Enzo.

Working that use to be my life has been replaced w/ so & really wish I could be a little house wife cooking & baking all day while watching my son. Then again I know that, thats not me. Though I can not live the next couple of years not being able to see my son awake, since this project is going to last for the next couple of years. MUST START FINDING A SOLUTION! This is just not working for me.
